God’s Faithfulness in 2018 and Beyond

As the Christmas lights glow, the presents linger under the tree, and we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus, we reflect on 2018 as a year in which God continued to pour out His favour and providence on our ministry. We have continued to see his blessing, leading, and anointing on our work as a team across the region.

The Lord has seen fit to continue to reach people through the work of RZIM, a constant reminder of His goodness and faithfulness. Six months ago, I remember seeing the renewed hope in the eyes of a young Indonesian couple. These two dentists had driven all the way to Kuching, Malaysia, for our apologetics conference and were there inspired to take apologetics-driven evangelism into their workplace and community. Two months ago, I remember a young digital designer who approached me after one of my talks at Samsung’s headquarters in Singapore, amazed at the realization that truth must be exclusive. He had never heard it explained that way before. And just two weeks ago, after a youth forum and Q&A panel at which I and our newest OCCA Fellow Yutaro spoke, a young Singaporean man who had been on a long journey searching for truth gave his life to Jesus. His face was glowing and he will never be the same again. From the jungles of Eastern Malaysia, to the boardrooms of the Fortune 500’s, to the churches of suburban Singapore, our Lord is building His Kingdom and His Spirit is moving.

It would be impossible to overstate the scope for our ministry’s growth across the region. The RZIM Asia-Pacific speaking team seeks to serve a population of around 4.5 billion people in the most racially, economically, and culturally diverse area of the world. All of our speakers have maintained a taxing speaking schedule this past year, and the demand for the work we do continues to exceed our capacity. By any measure, Asia-Pacific is ripe with opportunity. As we move into this next phase of prayer, planning, and growth, we are more grateful than ever for your prayers and support.

2019 brings many great challenges as well as many great opportunities. One such instance will be Asia’s first RZIM Festival of Thought in the first week of April. This week-long series of evangelistic events will see the gospel shared across the business world of Singapore. Host venues will include Samsung, Standard Chartered Bank, Google, Exxon Mobil, the National University of Singapore, and the Economic Development Board of Singapore. We earnestly seek your prayers.

As I step into this new role, I am privileged to be joining with our team here in Asia-Pacific, as well as colleagues across the globe as we excitedly seek to fulfil the Lord’s plans for our ministry in 2019 and beyond. Thank you for standing with us. So much of what we do would not be possible without you. We wish you and your family a blessed Christmas and a year ahead full of the Lord’s blessings, providence, and inspiration.

With our ongoing love, prayers, and thanks,

Max Jeganathan
